Pleasingly Pumpkin
A sweet blend of ginger and spice and pumpkin is nice! Mix with cream cheese and you have a delicious spread for bagels, graham crackers, scones, or muffins. Create a frosting by adding marshmallow cream to the mixture.
INGREDIENTS:
Crystallized Ginger, Pumpkin Flakes, Brown Sugar, and Spices.

PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN SPREAD
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1 Pkg. PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN
- ½ Cup Toasted, Chopped Nuts(optional—pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, etc.)
Empty the entire package of PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN mix into a small bowl. Add ¼ cup boiling water. Stir and let sit for 15 minutes. Soften cream cheese in a microwave proof bowl for approximately 45 seconds. Add the rehydrated “pumpkin” mixture and blend well. Fold in chopped nuts and refrigerate until serving time. For easier spreading bring to room temperature…and, be ready for a tastebud treat!
PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN FROSTING OR FILLING
- 1 Jar marshmallow Crème Topping
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1 Pkg. PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN
- ½ Cup Nuts (optional)
Follow directions for the spread recipe and add the marshmallow crème topping that has been “zapped” in the microwave for 20 seconds. This is delicious as a cake frosting (carrot cake, date cake, apple cake, gingerbread, etc.) or between layers of angel food or pound cake. Use your imagination and treat yourself to your own concoctions!
PLUMPKIN CRÈME
- 1 Pint Whipping Crème
- 1 Pkg. PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN
Empty the entire package of PLEASINGLY PLUMPKIN mix into a small bowl. Add ¼ cup boiling water. Stir and let sit for 15 minutes. Pour whipping cream into a small bowl and add the PLEASING PLUMPKIN mix and stir well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Now, beat the whipping cream mixture until stiff. This may be used as a frosting, filling or spread on anything your heart desires. Yields 4 cups.
